Adding Vehicle Insurance Companies

Use the Veh. Insurance Companies screen in the Setup application to add all of the vehicle insurance companies you deal with. This pertains to vehicle insurance only. Life, accident, and health insurance information is set up on the Credit Insurance page of the Sales area within the Setup app. Once you add companies to the Setup app, you can add insurance agents.

Note:  Only users with the appropriate permissions can perform this function.

Step 1. Click on the Setup app button in the main navigation bar. The Setup app will open to the Dealership Information page.

Step 2. Click the Sales button from the horizontal button bar running across the top of the screen. The Sales options drop-down menu will open.

Step 3. Select Veh. Insurance Companies from the Sales options menu. The Veh. Insurance Companies screen will open.

Step 4. Click the New Company button in the upper-right corner of the screen. The Add Insurance Company pop-up will open. 

Step 5. Type the insurance company name in the Name field. This is required.

Step 6. Enter the insurance companies National Association of Insurance Commissioners number in the NAIC field.

Step 7. The address is optional, but if you select to add address information for the insurance company, the State field is required.

Step 8. Enter the insurance company's Phone Number. This field is optional.

Step 9. Enter the company's Fax Number.

Step 10. The Active toggle in the upper-right corner of the pop-up signifies the company listing is active. Leave this setting for new insurance companies.

Step 11. Click Save and Close to save the information. A green “Success” message verifies the information has been saved. The company will appear in the list.
