Changing Your Chat Status

Autosoft -

When you're busy with a customer or simply don't want to be disturbed, you can change your Chat status in the Collaboration Center to let your coworkers know you're unavailable to chat.

Step 1. Click the Collaboration Center caret to open the Collaboration Panel. The Collaboration Center will open to the Chat tab.

Step 2. Click the options button directly below the Chat tab.

Step 3. The Chat status options menu will open.

Select the status you would like to display to your coworkers. Based on your selection, a colored dot will appear in the lower-right corner of your user profile image in the Collaboration Center, signaling to your colleagues your availability or unavailability.

Online: You're logged in and available to chat. The dot on your Chat tab and user profile image will be green.

Busy: You're logged in but do not wish to be disturbed. The dot on your Chat tab and user profile image will be red.

Invisible: You're logged in, but coworkers will not be able to see you in their active Chat users list. This allows you to send messages when you need to without coworkers knowing you're online and disturbing you. The dot on your Chat tab will be light gray, but you will not appear as a logged in and available user in coworkers' Chat tabs.

Offline: You're not logged in to the Chat feature and will not be able to send or receive messages. A power icon will appear on your Chat tab, and you will not appear as a logged in and available user in coworkers' Chat tabs.
