The Dashboard application provides you with a quick visual representation of your dealership's performance. Your dashboard view is determined by your Security settings in the Setup application. You may not have access to the Dashboard at all, in which case, the Dashboard app's button in the main navigation bar will not be clickable.
The Dashboard application's main screen can be comprised of several widgets based on your user role and permissions. If you have not been given access to any of the widgets, when you click the Dashboard app button on the main navigation bar, the Dashboard screen will display a message reading, "You do not have permission to view any Dashboard Widgets."
Vehicle Inventory Aging Snapshot
The Vehicle Inventory Aging Snapshot widget of the Dashboard screen provides you with a quick look at your new and used inventory counts and the age of those inventories. The top bar represents the total number of used vehicles in your inventory, while the lower bar represents the total new vehicles. If you hover on the various color blocks in either bar, you will see the number of new or used vehicles in each age group. The bar is broken down into 0 to 29 days, 30 to 59 days, 60 to 89 days, 90 to 119 days, and 119+ days. In the right column, you'll see the average age of used and new vehicles.
The Vehicle Sales widget of the Dashboard screen provides you with sales breakdowns for the current month and 12 previous months. Each bar represents the total vehicles sold that month, excluding any wholesale deals. If you hover over a bar, the system will display a breakdown of the total into new and used sales. A table on the right of the widget also provides that breakdown.
The Lost Reasons widget of the Dashboard application provides you with a visual representation of the month-to-date and previous month's number of lost deals and the reasons for those losses. During system setup, you'll create your loss reasons, and this widget will provide you with a monthly count for each of those reasons. Each lost reason will be represented by a bar that illustrates the number of deals lost for that reason. You can switch between the month-to-date and previous month view by clicking the toggle at the bottom of the widget.
The Prospects widget lets you view the make-up of your month-to-date and previous month's total prospects. The chart is divided by each prospect category active that month and the number of prospects attributed to that category. These prospect categories are established during the creation of sources in the system setup. To switch between the month-to-date and previous month view, click the toggle at the bottom of the widget.
The Sources widget gives you a quick representation of the month-to-date or previous month's deals associated with specific sources established during system setup. Each bar represents a different source and provides the total number of deals generated by that source for the month. To switch between the month-to-date and previous month view, click the toggle at the bottom of the widget.
