You can reset your password in one of two ways.
|Note: User passwords expire after 90 days. The system will alert you that your password is about to expire beginning three days prior to expiration and every day following until it expires. You can begin the password reset process directly from the alert by clicking Change Password and following the steps below (beginning with Step 3) or choose to ignore the alert each day by clicking Snooze. If you choose to ignore the alert for three days, on the fourth day, when you attempt to login, you'll be notified that your password has expired and must be reset.|
When an administrator resets your system password or you have forgotten your password and clicked I forgot my Username or Password, an email will be sent to your email address to notify you of the password change. Once you receive the email, you can reset your password by following these step:
Step 1. Open the system-generated email sent to your email address. The email will have the subject line "Autosoft DMS Password Reset."
Step 2. Click the first link in the email to reset your password. A Reset Password Webpage will open.
Step 3. Enter a new password in the New Password field. It must be at least eight characters in length with one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one symbol, and one number.
Step 4. Type the same password exactly in the Retype New Password field.
Step 5. Click Save New Password. A green "Password Reset Successful" message will appear to verify that your password has been reset.
When you choose to reset your password from within the system (while logged in), you will reset it directly within your profile screen in the Dashboard application.
Step 1. While logged in to the system, click your user ID (your first name) in the upper-right corner of the main navigation frame. This will open the account options menu.
Step 2. Select Change Password from the drop-down options menu. The Profile Account page will open in the Dashboard application.
Step 3. If you want to display your passwords as you type them, click to check the Show Passwords checkbox at the bottom of the card.
Step 4. In the page's Password card, type your current password in the Current Password field.
Step 5. Enter a new password in the New Password field. It must be at least eight characters in length with one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one symbol, and one number.
Step 6. Type the same password exactly in the Confirm Password field.
Step 7. Click Save. The next time you log in to the program, enter the new password you created. If you've saved your password on your Web browser, you will have to manually enter the new password and save it to the workstation or Web browser.
