You can start deals in Autosoft Sales and F&I in a variety of ways. For instance, if your customer has fallen in love with a vehicle you were reviewing with them using the Vehicle app, you can start a new deal with a couple of clicks from any page in the vehicle record. You don't have to navigate to the Sales app to start.
To start a new deal from a vehicle record, follow these steps:
Step 1. From any page of a vehicle record, click the Actions button in the upper-right corner of the screen, above the Vehicle Summary Card. The Actions options drop-down menu will open.
Step 2. Select New Deal from the Actions drop-down menu. The Deal Information pop-up will open.
Step 3. Verify that all the default information that auto-populates the Deal Information pop-up is correct for your deal. You can make changes to the default information and fill the empty Source and Prospect Type fields by clicking each field's options button to open the field's drop-down menu.
Step 4. Select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu.
Step 5. When you're done making adjustments to the Deal Infomation pop-up, click Save. The Sales application will open to a new deal. The deal is identified by a deal number and is signified as a quote because a buyer has not yet been assigned to the deal.
Step 6. Now you can start working the deal. If you would like to collapse the Deal Summary Card at the top of the screen to make more available space for working the deal, click the blue upward-facing caret in the Deal Summary Card. To reopen the card, click the blue downward-facing caret.
|Note: The system retains your last used Deal Summary Card setting. If you last had the card collapsed, when you open the next deal, its Deal Summary Card will be collapsed. If the card was expanded, it will be expanded in the next deal you open.|
