Using the TriVIN Integration

Autosoft Sales and F&I integrates with TriVIN. Through the integration, you can register deals with TriVIN, and the Autosoft DMS will save the information to an XML file. TriVIN can then pick up the file from the designated directory.

Step 1. Work a deal in the Sales app. 

Step 2. When the deal is complete, click the Integration button under the Deal Summary Card. The Integrations page of the deal will open. 

Step 3. Click the options button in the Integration Organization field to open a drop-down menu of third-party partners with whom you have accounts integrated with Autosoft.

Step 4. Select TriVIN from the Integration Organization list. The Transaction field will auto-populate with TriVIN Send Deal. 

Step 5. Click the Download button on the right side of the screen. A green "Success" message will verify that the file has been downloaded. The integration transaction record containing the date and time of the transaction will also display in the transactions list below the fields, and its status will read, "Sent."

The downloaded file will display at the bottom of your Web browser screen as a clickable button. 

Step 6. Click the button to open the XML file in yout computer's default XML editor. 

Step 7. Click File, and select Save As.

Step 8. In the Save As dialog, make sure the Save In location displays the TriVIN-designated folder. You must ensure you are saving the XML files in this location in order for TriVIN to pick up the files.

Step 9. Click Save.
